The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has recently announced new regulations which require cruise lines to provide final passenger manifests 60 minutes prior to departure from U.S. ports. To ensure compliance, guests are required to provide complete and accurate guest immigration details in advance of the embarkation date or risk being denied boarding. The easiest way to do this is to enter your information using the Voyage Personalizer at princess.com no later than six (6) days prior to sailing. Guests who fail to provide complete and accurate information prior to embarkation must complete check-in at least 90 minutes prior to the vessel’s scheduled departure time or they will be denied boarding.

Cunard Line’s Queen Elizabeth 2, Queen Mary 2 and the new Queen Victoria met in New York harbor by the Statue of Liberty the evening of January 10, 2008 in what was the only time the three vessels will be together in New York. The event, called the Cunard Royal Rendezvous, was accompanied by fireworks and lauded by New York City tourism officials as representing the importance of cruise tourism to the city. Queen Victoria, which was christened in December, made her maiden call to New York on the first leg of its 2008 World Cruise. She will visit 37 ports in 23 countries in 106 days. Queen Elizabeth 2, which was making its last call in New York, will go out of service in November and will eventually become a floating hotel in Dubai. Cunard’s history in New York dates back to 1847, when the Hibernia visited the city. In 2008, Cunard ships will visit the city 30 times, according to Cunard President Carol Marlow. The port of Brooklyn currently serves as homeport for the Queen Mary 2.
